Jeugkuns- en -fotoweek

Die Hoërskool Oudtshoorn bied jaarliks die Jeugkuns- en -fotoweek aan. Die kunstalent van die hele Klein Karoo-streek word dan in die skoolsaal uitgestal. Dit is 'n unieke geleentheid om die kuns van alle skole te besigtig, en vir die deelnemers om pryse te wen en hul werk teen ander s'n te evalueer. Geborg deur die Klein Karoo Agri Besigheidsentrum, die ATKV, die Absa KKNK en The Photo Workshop.

Klein Karoo op doek

Kom besoek gerus Kobus Spies van Oudtshoorn se kunsuitstalling waar hy die bekoring van die Klein Karoo op doek vaslê. Die skerp kontraste, warmte en kleurvolheid van Oudtshoorn word in olieverf met 'n lekker los styl op doek aangewend.

Roger Young Gallery at Kruisrivier

A beautiful little gallery, 44 km from Oudtshoorn, features Roger Young's hand-carved furniture and photographs, predominantly of the Klein Karoo. There is also a superb range of his photographs on sale as postcards. Attached to the gallery is a coffee shop to indulge in coffee, biscotti and an incomparable view. A peaceful garden, plants for sale and romantic, self-catering accommodation for two available.

Village Art Gallery

'n Stylvolle kunsgalery in die hartjie van die Klein Karoo, slegs 30 km vanaf Oudtshoorn in die bekoorlike De Rust se hoofstraat. Oorspronklike kunswerke van bekende kunstenaars, besonderse beeldhouwerke, karaktervolle Karoomeubels, esels en geskenke soos getekende afdrukke, kaartjies, magnete en verjaarsdagkalenders. Village Art Gallery is deel van Village Trading Post, gewildste restaurant in die Klein Karoo waar elke gereg met liefde voorberei word. Tuisgebakte koek en brood, kraakvars slaai, meesterlike burgers, ontbytgeregte en vele meer. Kyk uit vir die "aangetrekte" hoenderhaan en windpomp.

Lisl Barry Art Exhibition

This talented fine artist whose vibrant oils capture the essence, the energy and sense of space of the Karoo and her people, will be exhibiting at the Swartberg Country Manor, curated by ArtKaroo Gallery. A dedicated and inspired individual whose life journey, lifestyle and work are so interlinked that they are one – her artworks speak with the gentleness of a mother and the strength and clarity of the Karoo light.

She has made her home in the Gamkaberg with her nature conservation husband and two girls. Initially arts graduate from Cape Town, she has subsequently shot roots here and belongs truly to the landscapes she paints. Exhibiting at various galleries nationwide - Strijdom, Prince Albert, ArtKaroo galleries, Artefact she also is the author of '52 Ways to grow Creative Children.'
