Minette du Toit-Pearce is in 2006 as die wenner van ATKV-Muziq, 'n klassiekemusiekkompetisie vir jong volwasse musici, bekroon. Sy stuur vanjaar se fees van vokale musiek van stapel met 'n veelsydige program wat werke van Vivaldi, Rossini, Schubert, Richard Strauss, Saint-Saëns, Obradors en Bizet insluit, asook Pieter de Villiers se geliefde Sewe Boerneef-liedjies en ligter liedere van Christa Steyn en Leonard Cohen. ATKV-Muziq is reeds 10 jaar die ATKV se jaarlikse bydrae tot klassieke musiek in Suid-Afrika. Kaartjies sluit die konsert met daarna n glasie wyn en n heerlike Klein Karoo-vingerete in.
Mezzo soprano Minette du Toit-Pearce, accompanied by Philippus Hugo on piano, launches this year's feast of vocal music with a recital including works by Vivaldi, Rossini, Schubert, Richard Strauss, Saint-Saëns, Obradors and Bizet, together with Pieter de Villiers' beloved Seven Boerneef Songs and lighter material by Christa Steyn and Leonard Cohen. Tickets include the performance, followed by a glass of wine and a delicious light meal.
Vuurvoël / Firebird

Vuurvoël is geen gewone klassieke konsert nie – in 'n wonderwoud vol nagtegale, towerfluite en mitiese bosvoëls kan jy jou verbeelding se vlerke kom span en deel word van 'n towerervaring waar wonderlike voëlmusiek deur sinestesie lewendig word. Oor die jare het komponiste betowerende melodieë geïnspireer deur voëls en hul gesang gekomponeer. Kom luister en word meegevoer deur die virtuose spel en sang van hierdie drie merkwaardige musikante. Fantastiese kostuums, magiese maskers en 'n onvergeetlike, unieke ervaring. Braam du Toit komponeer spesiaal ’n nuwe werk genaamd Filigree for Florence. Genomineer vir die Kannatoekenning vir die beste debuutwerk – oor alle genres – by die 2011 Absa KKNK.
This innovative programme, presented with fantastic costumes and magical masks, explores repertoire inspired by birds and birdsong. Nominated for the Kanna Award for the best debut performance – in any genre – at the 2011 Absa KKNK.

Die nuutgestigde Cape Consort bied vanjaar drie uiteenlopende programme van vroeë musiek op historiese instrumente by die Klein Karoo Klassique aan. Binne hierdie besondere fees van keurmusiek kan gehore dus uitsien na 'n ware 'fees van barokmusiek'. In hulle eerste konsert word die klem op virtuose vioolmusiek uit die 16de en 17de eeu geplaas, soos vertolk deur die besoekende Amsterdamse barokviolis Antoinette Lohmann en 'n Suid-Afrikaanse basso continuo-groep. Hierdie konsert beloof die ontdekking te wees van die uitnemende en uitdrukkingsvolle musiek van komponiste soos Schop, Voigt, Stradella, Schmelzer en Buxtehude wat in Suid-Afrika feitlik onbekend is.
The newly-founded Cape Consort presents three contrasting programmes at this year's festival. This first concert places the emphasis on virtuoso violin music of the 16th and 17th centuries, as interpreted by the visiting Dutch baroque specialist Antoinette Lohmann and a South African basso continuo ensemble.

In hulle derde konsert bied die groep 'n oorsig uit die groot verskeidenheid dramatiese vokaalmusiek uit die Baroktydperk. Vivaldi en Händel kan in hierdie program in minder bekende werke opnuut ontdek word. Verder kan daar kennis gemaak word met die intense uitdrukkingsvermoë van die befaamde vrouekomponis Barbara Strozzi asook werke in 'n ligter luim van grootmeester Monteverdi.
This programme offers a survey of the wide range of dramatic vocal music from the baroque period, including works by Vivaldi and Handel, Barbara Strozzi and Monteverdi in a buoyant mood.

Ligte piekniekkonsert: Gugulethu Tenors

The Gugulethu Tenors, described as South Africa's Il Divo, are taking the South African entertainment industry by storm with their sensational sound and live performance. This afro-operatic pop sensation recently announced the signing of an international licensing agreement. Their debut album, The Gugulethu Tenors, showcases the group's stylistic variety which earned acclaim from media and fans alike. They have performed for politicians, dignitaries and superstars including Oprah Winfrey, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey and Pres Jacob Zuma. What started more than 10 years ago as four high school students' dream of being on stage, has culminated into a jaw-dropping musical unit known as The Gugulethu Tenors.

Moontlik gemaak deur Absa
The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, arguably the most versatile and active orchestra in Africa, will perform well-loved opera arias with soloists Friedel Mitas and Conroy Scott. The conductor is Brandon Phillips, winner of the first Len van Zyl Conductor's Competition. Friedel Mitas, who grew up in Oudtshoorn, completed her Performance Diploma in Opera at the University of Cape Town under Prof Virginia Davids and last year won the Olitalia/Rialto Bursary Competition. She has performed as soloist for numerous oratorio works and sung various leading roles. Conroy Scott has sung amongst others the lead baritone role in Puccini's La Rondine and the title role in Mozart's opera Don Giovanni.

Schubert, Brahms and Fauré

This recital presents three of the most popular and melodious works in the cello repertoire, performed by a highly gifted duo. The Polish cellist Maciej Lacny, studied at Cracow Conservatory of Music and has performed in Europe, the Far East and the United States with several orchestras. The distinguished South African pianist, Malcolm Nay, is a popular recitalist, concert and chamber musician.
They will perform Schubert's melodious Arpeggione Sonata, the dark and brooding Sonata no 1 by Brahms and the beautiful and poetic Elégie by Fauré.

Mozart se Requiem
Met die Kaapse Filharmoniese Orkes, St George's Singers & Klein Karoo Feeskoor
Die Kaapse Filharmoniese Orkes onder die leiding van die bekende orrelis, kerkmusikant en dirigent dr Barry Smith span saam met die St George’s Singers van Kaapstad en die Klein Karoo Feeskoor om Mozart se bekende Requiem na die fees te bring. Onder dr Smith se leiding het kerkmusiek in Kaapstad oor die afgelope vier dekades gegroei tot musiek van internasionale standaard. Die eerste volledige uitvoering in Suid-Afrika van liturgiese werke soos Bach se Mattheuspassie het onder dr Smith se leiding geskied.
