The French jazz pianist Claude Bolling changed the musical landscape with works where classical musicians could play jazz. His works became instant favourites, and the Suite for Cello and Jazz Trio combine styles like swing and blues. The Cello Sonata in E minor by Brahms was heard in its original format, as well as the Bach Solo Suite for cello no. 2 with a twist. This work was transformed with the addition of a jazz soundscape by the Charl du Plessis Trio. A true eclectic mix of jazz and classical sounds in a new crossover combination for the music connoisseur.
