Kala Combrink

Kala was born in Namibia and grew up in South Africa. In 2008 she moved to George and started painting full-time. Her impressionistic oil paintings are representational seascapes, florals, and street scenes from life and the occasional portrait.

“There is no extraordinary rationale why I paint.
I love all aspects of the creative process, the materials, the planning and preparing,
the act of painting, of telling a story. Curiosity drives me, painting has become the ultimate unsolvable puzzle, a way of communicating.
I simply must paint.”
