In 1983, a car accident left me paralysed of all four extremities. My love for art became evident in high school, where I created my first artworks with my mouth in 1993. Then I focused on my studies and career.

In 2002, I returned to mouth painting under the guidance of Elsie Fouché. In 2004 Carol Slabolepszy taught me the fundamentals of colour, an essential skill as I am colour blind. I became a student member of the Association in 2003. Through hard work and perseverance, I have been promoted to an Associated Member of the Mouth and Foot Painters Association from 2009 till date.

I prefer oils and acrylics, painting landscapes, seascapes and sometimes flowers. If not for the association, I don’t think I would have come so far with my God given talent. God can live through me, and people see something of themselves through my artwork.

My motto in life is “do what you can with what you have wherever you might be”.
