Born and raised in the Eastern Transvaal Highland. After school I went to Bible School and did Youth work for a long time. I then studied Theology and Education at the University of Pretoria and became a teacher and minister for several years.

Now I work and live on a farm close to De Rust in the Klein Karoo. I was always interested in art and philosophy, and it motivated me to create my own work. I mainly use wood and stone found on the farm. To me it feels so much part of my daily exercise and an authentic way of expressing myself.
