I Dream of a Place Where Flowers Grow…

René Scribante

René Scribante’s art is rooted in her lifelong connection to nature and a deep reverence for its cycles of growth. Through Alchemy and the Sunflower, as both process and philosophy, it explores the transformation of the ephemeral into the eternal, and the personal into the universal.

“My garden, filled with trees and sunflowers, functions as a living studio and muse. Reflections of fallen leaves in water, the textures of bark, and the graceful decline of flora recur throughout my work.”

Since 2023, René has been working full-time in the art world. As a member of SCAVA, she serves as the chairperson, passionately promoting the visual arts in the South Cape region. She curated and participated in multiple “Friends & I” exhibitions. René is also the founding member of Attic Atelier and continues to inspire and engage with fellow artists and art enthusiasts through her monthly “Coffee with local Artists” gatherings.

She is the curator of visual arts for Klein Karoo Klassique 2025 and 2026.

In the Key of Light

In the Key of Light, to me as an artist, expresses the relationship between colour, classical music, composition, and emotion.

“Solace” and “I dream of a place where flowers grow…” are both inspired by the stillness I find in my surroundings and in nature as it reflects in my swimming pool, my muse. It is my tranquil place where light reflects, refracts, transforms, and plays in water, and renews my soul…

An orchestral and visual symphony, both with illumination in LIGHT.

May you always find light…
